Carried by
Sasabonsam
It sits in the branches of certain large trees with its legs dangling, and takes anyone who passes underneath by hooking them upward. The being is bound up with ideas about the forest's danger and with the practice of hunting: certain trees are associated with it, and hunters are the people most exposed to it.
Drop Bear
When the moment is right, they drop from heights of up to 10 meters, using their powerful limbs to latch onto their victims.
Kongamato
The creature's hunting strategy is one of sudden ambush, descending from above with shocking speed to seize its victims before they can react.
